Pakistan Floods Appeal

There are a number of ways in which to give donations to the Appeal:

Donating to the government's Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC)

1. Online - go to www.dec.org.uk

2. Debit or credit card by phone 0370 - 60 - 60 - 900

3. Text 70707 with the word 'GIVE' to donate £5 automatically

4. Cheques should be made payable to 'DEC Pakistan Floods Appeal' PO Box 999, London, EC3A 3AA

5. Cash or cheques can be paid in at any post office or high street bank quoting 'freepay number 1384'

Life Boxes

The Stockport Islamic Centre is collecting 'life boxes' full of dried foods, bottled water and other essential items. At first they started the appeal by asking people to donate boxes but as the boxes and the contents of the box have to be specific, the Islamic Centre has arranged a discount deal with all the major Cash and Carrys who are supplying the contents of the boxes at minimal cost. Therefore they are taking donations of £10 per box which provides the basic essentials for the flood victims. For more information please contact Bev Sellen or Elizabeth Young at the Stockport Partnership Office on 0161 474 3127
