The Stockport Partnership brings together about 200 representatives from the voluntary, community, public and business sectors to make decisions about important developments for the long term future of the borough. There is also a Board that consists of fifteen elected or nominated members representing all the sectors on the Forum.

As faith communities play a critical role in local communities and in particular in relation to community cohesion, the Stockport Partnership helped develop Stockport's Inter-Faith Network.
